BACKLIGHTING OF OPTICAL STUDS

When traffic sign faces the backlighting condition, due to extremely strong backlighting, the illumination behinds the sign and the information of sign itself presents very weak illumination results in the high contrast brightness of light intensity and then, leading the road users unable to identify the information showed on the sign, causing the road users unable to be prepared, to deal with the critical and dangerous traffic conditions in advance, such as Emergency Steering, Accidents Ahead, Road Maintenance Ahead, etc--- Any Dangerous Driving Conditions.

In order to solve above stated traffic sign with backlighting problem, our company developed a No electro-Optical Studs, through the refractive principle of curved surface on Optical Stud that could transmitting the light from the rear side to the front side of sign, meanwhile maintaining a very high optical efficiency that could illuminating the light to road users directly, therefore road users could read the information from the sign clearly even under the circumstances of backlighting.

To meet the requirements of traffic sign that needs to be higher than drivers, optical studs could refracting light to be approx. down (to the ground), deviate from the optical axis about 10 degrees and presenting the divergent angle about 20 degrees, refer to below Picture A:
As seen from the top view, the projection of light through the optical studs, from the left to right direction, the visual range is approximately plus and minus 20 degrees, refer to below Picture B:
When a traffic sign is 100 meters away from the road users, the visible range of information showed on the sign is covering about 72.79 meters in width and within this coverage, the information on the sign could be seen entirely and precisely.
